  • Eric Daniel, a medical student in Shreveport, LA. and his dad were fishing Lake Fork for spawning bass when a cold front came in. No luck on the banks so Eric moved out on a point into 13 feet of water with treetops sticking out above the surface.

  • He caught the 3 bass (pictured below) on the first 3 casts for a total weight of 19 3/4 pounds. Eric caught over 20 bass that day weighing 3-8 pounds in those treetops. His dad caught 6

WATER BODY RECORD JUNIOR DIVISION, CATCH & RELEASE AWARD, AND THE BIG FISH AWARD. Largemouth Bass, 11.68 pounds 25 1/8 length


Cody Wayne Clark 16 years from Wills Point, Texas, a sophomore. Was on school spring break when he hooked his Largemouth Bass March 21, 2008 (GOOD FRIDAY). Before 8:00 am, He was at Lake Fork with his neighbor. Cody received three awards from The Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept. WATER BODY RECORD 11.68 pounds 25 1/8 length on 3-21-08 Largemouth Bass @ Lake Fork. CATCH & RELEASE AWARD, AND THE BIG FISH AWARD. Cody has had a Love of fishing 13 years and caught many many other species of large fish. He is a role model for younger kids and always encourages them to fish. He was given passes to the TOYOTA TEXAS BASS CLASSIC on Lake Fork March 19th & 20th, 2008 where he talked to dozens of PRO ANGLERS ONE ON ONE. On Saturday he was called on the main stage to talk about his lake record. In between the PRO ANGLERS weigh in results for that day. This was a dream come true. Everybody knew who he was by the end of his two days there. Some pros. had already heard about his record. Cody has been in many newspapers, web-sites, live interviews at radio stations. the list gets longer and longer. Cody was in diapers when his father took him fishing the first time. They have been fishing buddies ever since. Cody recently received his drivers license & boaters education certificate. When he's not in school he's on the water. 3 straight casts: #1=21 inches, #2=22 inches, and #3= 23 inches. To top it off the weather... It was raining, snowing and sleeting all at the same time
