Lake Fork is one of the best bass fishing lakes in the world and Ray
welcomes the opportunity to assist in your fishing goals whether it is
for that trophy lunker bass, or filling the freezer with white and black
crappie.
Lake Fork can be fished year round, and some of the best fishing occurs
during the summer and winter months when there isn’t much pressure on
the lake. June through September may be hot but so is the catching. When
the weather cools off during October through December, the fish go into
feeding frenzies, and January thru May marks the pre-spawn and spawning
season for bass and crappie. No matter the season winter, spring,
summer, or fall, you’ll enjoy the fishing at Lake Fork.
Come on, let’s go searching for your trophy bass or crappie! |
| Ray’s
Schedule of Fishing Hours • For Bass, a full trip averages 8 – 10 hours, and half trips 4 – 5 hours. However, flexible fishing hours can be arranged to customize your trip. It is Ray’s opinion that fishing hours are based on customer’s desires, time of year, and weather conditions. Lake Fork has a “Slot Limit” for largemouth bass. “The length limit is a 16 - 24 inch slot. Bass 16 inches and less, or 24 inches and greater in length may be retained. Only 1 bass 24 inches or greater may be retained each day”. The daily bag limit is 5 per person. Ray suggests and practices catch and release during his trips for black bass, but customer desires for a tasty meal or for mounting a trophy bass will be honored. Ray will also suggest getting a replica made of your trophy bass. Measurements of length and girth, and a great photo is all that is needed. • For Crappie, fishing hours are based on customer desires, weather, and the time of year the trip is booked. However and no matter the time of year, Ray plans on meeting or exceeding the customer’s desires. Lake Fork has an abundance of black and white crappie and regulations for catching crappie vary depending on when one fishes for them. From December 1 to the last day of February, there is no minimum length limit, the daily bag limit is 25 per person in any combination, and all must be retained. Otherwise from March through the last day of November, there is a 10 inch minimum length limit, and the daily bag limit is 25 per person in any combination. Overall possession limit is 50 per person. To arrange a fishing trip and schedule that fits your desires, give Ray a call. Cell: 972-849-2685 Home: 903-473-9528 Email: rayvereen@yahoo.com |
